With that said, the Rams will keep wide receiver Puka Nacua active as he pushes to break the rookie record for most receiving yards in a season. Even though the Silver and Black will finish the season with a losing record, Moton believes the players and their coach will celebrate a turnaround with Pierce who's in the mix to become the club's full-time head coach. With a victory, he can sell his winning record to owner Mark Davis as a big reason he deserves the full-time position. The players likely understand the importance of this game for their head coach, which is why this isn't a 'meaningless game' for them, though neither of these teams is in playoff contention.
